Strengthening Families Program

The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) helps families give their children what they need to thrive. It’s about taking advantage of your unique strengths as a parent and ensuring you have the skills and supports you need to make sure your child, and your family as a whole, are safe, secure, and happy.

About the Program, overview

Parents and youth attend 14 weekly classes together, learning parenting skills and youth life and refusal skills. They have separate class training for parents and youth for an hour, followed by a joint family practice session for an hour.

Age Ranges

This free program is for youth in grades 6-12 with free childcare for children under that range.

Time Commitment

The free program lasts 14 weeks, with sessions lasting a total of 2.5 hours each week.

Free Dinner Provided

A free dinner will be provided for all families each week before sessions begin.
